Bloomington, Ind. – Junior Paige Fairfield started the IU Evans Scholars’ philanthropic year off with a caddying event at her sponsoring course, Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. Ten scholars from the IU house made the drive from Bloomington early last Sunday to catch the 8:00 am tee time and do what they do best. The outing was met with excellent weather and straight drives on the iconic links-style course.
All the money earned at Crooked Stick went to the scholars’ individual fundraising accounts, which will be totaled up on October 16th, the day of the main St. Baldrick’s fundraising event. The IU Evans House would like to thank the membership of Crooked Stick Golf Club for supporting childhood cancer research and treating the scholars to lunch!
